DESIGN & PROCESS FMEA
2 DAY WORKSHOP
The CE Marking Association are specialists in CE Marking and product compliance. We can offer you a wide range of compliance and training services to help you to understand and meet your legal obligations with regards to CE Marking and product compliance.
Day one enables delegates to use Design FMEA as a tool to ensure that the product design fully meets the design specification. This course takes a practical approach to Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and concentrates on the identification of significant and critical failures, causes and their effects. It ensures that actions are identified as early as practical to ensure that improvements and changes can be timely and of minimum cost.
Day two will enable delegates, involved with process layout, specification and improvement, to use Process FMEA as a tool to enable the early elimination of process failures through a detailed study of the manufacturing process. The aim is to minimise production difficulties prior to product launch and prevent product failures reaching the customer. A systematic approach is undertaken which ensures that delegates can fully apply the method effectively within their organisations.
Delegates, who are not interested in attending both days of the workshop, can choose to only attend the day that is applicable to them.
The key aims and objectives of the workshop are:
- Removes the mystique of FMEA by using a proven step by step method
- Help to more clearly define and understand product functions and requirements (Design FMEA)
- To more clearly define process flow and manage critical characteristics (Process FMEA)
- Concentrates thinking in right first time rather than fire fighting
- Helps to focus efforts in a more cost-effective manner
- Identifies where to put the effort on continuous improvement
