Our interactive CE Marking Essentials workshop has been designed to cover all aspects of CE Marking, to enable you to comply with the Machinery, Low Voltage and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directives, along with many other product Directives. The workshop is aimed at companies who manufacture, import or distribute electronic apparatus or machinery for sale or use within the European Economic Area.
The key aims and objectives of the workshop are:

- To be able to identify and apply relevant standards
- To enable you to legally place your product on the market

Covering: CE Marking Directives and Legislative and Mandatory requirements
What is CE Marking?
Covering: CE Fundamentals, the rule of Notified Bodies and Meeting the Directives (including ‘which Directive’ exercise)
The Machinery Directive
Looking at machinery, the essential requirements and partially completed machinery.
Risk Identification, Management & Assessment
Undertaking a Risk Assessment in accordance with the Machinery Directive
Risk Reduction
Risk Reduction methods and Safety Control Systems (including Risk Assessment Exercise)

The EMC Directive
What is EMC, what Standards apply, what tests are performed and what are the requirements
EMC Test Lab visit
A first-hand look at an EMC test lab, with our highly experienced engineers leading the tour and on hand to answer any questions.

Technical Documentation Requirements
What are Harmonised Standards and identifying which Standards to use (including Standards Identification exercise, Declarations of Conformity and D of C exercise)
