Membership of the CE Marking Association

By becoming a member of the CE Marking Association you can protect your business by being aware of changes in Directives and legislation that may affect the ongoing conformity of your products or machinery, and having access to continued support from our technical team.

Over the last few years many significant changes have occurred in almost all of the CE Marking Directives. These changes to the Directives have had a considerable impact on manufacturers, distributors, or importers in the EU. If your company is considering becoming a member, this will enable you to be kept up-to-date with the changes as they happen, in addition to the many other benefits that the Association offers.

	Benefits for Members: If you are deliberating about membership, take a look at what we offer:   • CE Marking Helpline* Unbiased advice on the technical and legislative aspects of the EMC, LV, Machinery, Medical, ATEX, PED, CPD, RTTE, EuP, Toys, Gas Appliances, Recreational Crafts, PPE, WEEE, RoHS and GPS Directives to help members understand and resolve any issues arising for a particular situation. Hide • Annual CE Marking Seminar* All members will be invited to attend our Annual CE Marking Seminar. The seminar will be split into two parts; with the morning focusing on members who are new to CE Marking or would like a refresher; and the afternoon focusing on hot topics and forthcoming changes in product legislation. The seminars are a great way for you to keep up to date with technical and regulatory changes and enable members to discuss issues. These meetings are also a great way to help maintain and enhance your product compliance knowledge and appropriate for your Continuous Professional Development. Hide • Legislation Video Updates* For members who are too busy to sit and read through major changes in Product Legislation, the CE Marking Association will regularly publish videos to help explain the important changes and how they could affect you. Hide • Regular E-Newsletters* Regular news articles will be published and sent to members in an E-Newsletter to keep all members up to date with UK and European legislation. The articles (along with the back catalogue) are sorted in accordance with the applicable Directive within the member's area. Hide • Harmonised Standard Updates* All members will have access to Harmonised Standards Updates. The updates will enable members to check to see whether their standard(s) continue to offer a presumption of conformity or whether they are due to be superseded, thus allowing members to take the appropriate action as soon as possible. Hide • Access to our Standards Library As a member of the Association, members will be able to come and view the British, European and International standards within our library. Visits are permitted by prior appointment. Hide • Discount on Standards Full members can obtain a 25% discount on BSI Standards. Hide • Discount on Training As a member your company can obtain discounts of upto 50% on selected Training Courses and Workshops. Please see the online public training calendar for details of discounts on specific courses. Hide • FREE Quick Look See Surgeries (Specific Days) On specific days over the course of the year, the CE Marking Association will offer FREE Quick-Look-See Surgeries to full members to test or discuss your product compliance. A surgery will generally indicate whether a product will comply and provide assistance and advice where possible. Hide • Discount for Anytime Consultancy For members that require 'anytime' consultancy (on any week day excluding Quick Look See Surgery days), the CE Marking Association will be happy to discuss any queries you have with CE Marking and/or other product legislation. The consultancy is a chargeable service, but members will receive a 50% discount on the standard hourly rate. The consultancy will be limited to a maximum of 2 hours per session and where applicable, travel will be charged at 60ppm. Hide • Documented Advice Service For members that require a formal response to a question, the CE Marking Association will write a formal response on letter headed paper. The response is a chargeable service, but members will receive a 50% discount on the standard hourly rate. Hide • CE Declaration Check For full members, the CE Marking Association will check your Declarations of Conformity/Incorporation/Performance to ensure that they are up to date with the latest Directives and Standards and will advise on whether any updates are required or not. Hide • Knowledge Base Website* All members will have access to the exclusive member's area of the CE Marking Association website. The member's area is a comprehensive knowledgebase that features all the appropriate tools and resources to assist you with your product compliance. The website also features details of latest Events, Updates, Resources, Links and much more! Hide • Access to Key Technical Consultants & Bodies* Members who have product compliance issues that cannot be solved via the "helpline" or "quick look see surgeries" will be put in touch with the appropriate expertise to solve their problem. Hide • Membership Certificate* All members will receive an annual certificate of membership. Hide • Multiple Users Available Every membership is company wide and access is restricted to a number of users, dependant upon the size of the company. Additional users can be added to the membership at a cost of £50.00 per user for the period of membership. Annual costs of Membership

The cost of membership is based on a 12 month period and is dependant upon the number of employees. The below prices are exclusive of VAT and are effective from the 1st January 2012. Terms & Conditions apply.
