Compliance Services

Providing solutions to your compliance needs

We understand the problems faced by manufacturers and suppliers every day in trying to understand what is needed to achieve product compliance.

Many products sold in the European Union fall within the scope of one or more of the "New Approach" Directives. All of these products require CE Marking as a demonstration of their conformity, and it is a manufacturer's responsibility to make sure these legal obligations are met.

We offer a pragmatic and cost-effective approach in providing assistance right from the initial concept through to the final product and offer assistance with on-going conformity requirements. If you are new to the CE Marking process or just require our support, then we can help.

We have an extensive range of consultancy, assessment and testing services covering most of the CE Marking and associated Directives.

If you are a Small to Medium Sized Enterprise, then we may be able to secure up to 75% funding in order to help you through the compliance process and thereby join the list of over 250 companies to date we have helped in this way.

The CE Marking process is one of self certification for most directives, others requiring the involvement of Notified Bodies as some level. Unlike Notified Bodies, we are able to provide advice and work in your best interests, especially when cost choices need to be made.

The process of CE Marking is:
  1 - Apply Appropriate Directives
2 - Meet the Essential Requirements of the Directives
3 - Risk Assessment/Do Testing/Apply Harmonised Standards (see below)
4 - Produce Technical Documentation
5 - Produce Declaration of Conformity
6 - Apply CE Mark

The devil is in the detail of the standards. The standards route will give the “Presumption of Conformity” with the Essential Requirements of the Directives.
